Installed it. Seems to work.
Hint: the author tosoboso posted about it here: https://www.synology-forum.de/threads/kopano4s-webapp-z-push-fail2ban.103735/

Any updates on this community package?

Great package, I already implemented fail2ban on my Univention machine, and was just on the way for the same on Synology when I found the package 4s here.
Just a few remarks:
1. adding an empty jail.local would be nice
2. the firewall in DSM 6.1 does not support blocktype REJECT causing bans to fail. DROP is accepted.
3. any action on the firewall UI will remove the f2b rules, which then need to be restored with a restart
