And now about DSM 6 and ARM (see also Wiki): I had a hard job to port Zarafa4h for Docker into a Twin-Setup supporting in parallel Debian-Chroot package for all Synology models without Docker. And I also had to script and test in parallel DSM 5 and 6. The lines of script code now exceeds 2k of lines.. Zarafa4h works on pre-compiled packages from Zarafa and it is as of now unclear if it runs on ARM, but early tests indicate it is unlikely. Note I cannot test it as I have no ARM models.

Hi, I use Zarafa 0.5.5 together with the Z-Push Zarafa tool on my Synology (214play) with DSM 5. Now I want to upgrade to DSM 6 and use the new Zarafa for home (Hurray!! :))
How to migrate? a manual would be perfect!

    Great Tosoboso,
I appreciate your hard work, but I ask you: you do not allow ARM systems definitively lose Zarafa.
Help us to develop a new version of Zarafa, maybe reduced to 6.0 DSM for ARM systems.
This your work must be paid.
    Waiting for your kind evaluation.
    regards

I tried to install the package but it failed, a selection of the installation log:

: Unable to locate package zarafa-licensed

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
zarafa-webapp-desktopnotifications : Depends: zarafa-webapp (>= 2.0) but it is not going to be installed
    zarafa-webapp-extbox : Depends: zarafa-webapp (>=

I used debian chroot 32 bits.

    Is there an installation guide?
I'm trying to run zarafa4home already since 2 days ago.
I have installed Synology Version 6 (7321), Debian chroot, Docker, Maria DB and Perl. Then zarafa4home. However zarafa4home will not start.
    What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks for the help.

Hello Tosoboso, I'm delighted to read that a project is in place to render Zarafa compatible with DSM 6, despite some posts I read on the web. I currently get a message that I cannot upgrade unless I uninstall Zarafa.

What do you recommend? Should I upgrade Zarafa to v0.2 or v0.3 and then upgrade DSM to 6?
    Thanks in advance,
    Kind regards,
    Marc Geerts

As the release note state early alpha, no admin GUI. You need to wait. V.0.2 as 1st beta is now out and admin gui still comes later - this is a big project. As per DSM 6.0 no requirement for zarafa4h but it will be supported while old Zarafa package dows not run on DSM 6.0, -TosoBoso

Yes download SW: the Zarafa Package by Julian Dohle ships all binaries which had been cross-compiled for Synology (high effort each time, no update since 2014). This Zarafa for home package runs on Debian via 'the box' aka Docker or Chroot and downloads all pre-packaged binaries from Zarafa using Debian Package Manager (dpkg). By doing so the package can be very small and an update only requires changing settings in download sources for the new build. On the other hand package build time on Synology runs longer and getting this all scripted is a significant one off effort I'm still working on. -TosoBoso

I use the Zarafa_0.6.0_x86.spk with round about 169 MB size. In which way is possible, that you use 6,51 MB for your package? It´s only a download software?
